Especially in the neighborhoods of Roma Norte and Condesa, the streets are filled with cozy cafés and trendy breakfast spots. Luckily, when it comes to breakfast in Mexico City, you’re in the right place. Places I visited myself and would happily return to for a second cup or another pastry. The location I visited (on Vissis 25) seems to be closed now, but they have other branches in the city, so definitely worth checking where they’ve moved.

The café sits inside an old passage, and that historic setting adds a beautiful charm to the atmosphere. It’s like stepping back in time, all while enjoying a perfect cup of coffee. I visited four times, almost every day I was in Athens. We didn’t go inside as we set outside this time, but it looked like the inside is great as well. It had a very pleasant vibe, chilled music, beautiful decor and really great cocktails. Many parking lots in the area during morning.

A freddo cappuccino is an espresso with the addition of foamed milk or sometimes cream. You can easily find cappuccinos, lattes, and other “typical” hot coffee drinks in Athens, as well as more artisanal things like drip coffee and nitro brew. Highly recommend this lovely little place but be warned you might not get a table on a night as it is so popular with locals We stopped here for a coffee and cake/croissant in the morning. It has lot of cafes and shopping stores. However, if you're not looking for a place where music is really, really loud, I would recommend a take-away cup. Best coffee we have had in Athens (like proper flat white/macchiato coffee) and delicious breakfast sandwiches. The place is a bit hard to find on a Sunday but the barista is very kind and knowledgeable in his profession. Highly, highly recommended coffee and bite joint at the heart of Athens’ historical center. I've visited many cafés in Athens, and it was challenging to find one that really knew how to prepare good coffee, but Cupaki exceeded my expectations.
