Crown Cement, a brand of M. I. Cement Factory Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers of cement in Bangladesh. M. I. Cement Factory Ltd. is a public limited company that commenced its adventurous journey in Bangladesh with the dedication to providing high quality cement to the country on December 31, 1994.

Crown Cement initially had a plant with a capacity of producing 600tpd (ton per day) of Portland cement. Within the course of time, the demand for Crown Cement started to multiply significantly. By dint of quality soon, Crown Cement gained reputation and acceptability both at home and abroad which therefore raised the need for expanding the plants from time to time. So, we wanted to make sure the uninterrupted supply of cement and as a result, established our 2nd unit in 2002 with a production capacity of 800tpd, 3rd unit with a production capacity of 1400tpd in 2006 and 4th unit with a production capacity of 3000tpd in 2011 thus raising the whole manufacturing potential to 5800tpd i.e. 1.740 million metric ton per annum.

The company became enlisted on Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange in 2011. Its stakeholders have always appreciated the high growth agenda of the organization. Its continuous improvement have helped earn the investors’ trust. It’s forward and backward integration endeavors have given new dimensions to its growth platform.

With this end in view, the associate industrial units’ viz., Crown Polymer Bagging Ltd., Crown Power Generation Ltd., Crown Mariners Ltd., Crown Transportation & Logistics Ltd., Crown Cement Concrete & Building Materials Ltd. have been set up and are already in operation. The company has also acquired a handymax size ship to facilitate the transportation of raw materials from abroad. It is hopefully expected that these new growth platforms will facilitate the creation of new dimensions and frontiers to the parent company M. I. Cement Factory Limited.

Crown Cement led the export of cement in 2003 and paved the way for earning valuable foreign currency for the country. Crown Cement has achieved the National Export Trophy (Gold) for two consecutive year 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 for attaining the top place among the cement exporters in Bangladesh.

Our registered office is located on the bank of the Dhaleswari River in West Mukterpur, Munshigonj which is connected by a metallic road known as the Dhaka-Munshigonj highway and linked with the whole country.
